How to lay wood tile on concrete floor.
Before you install file flooring follow the directions above for fixing high spots and low spots in a wood or concrete subfloor.
Now that you have a reference point you can be sure that the first row of tiles will be properly aligned.
Finish laying the tiles for the first couple of rows placing 1 8 inch spacers in between the tiles and frequently checking that the tiles are even and level.
You don t want be trapped in a corner and have to walk on the newly installed floors.
Be careful to not stagger the joints more than 1 3 the length of tile.
Make a final check with the level to be sure all the high and low spots are gone.

Then use a square tool to check that the lines are perpendicular to one another.
After the tile has been sanded clean and remove all particles and dust before applying a floor leveler product to fill in grout lines and level the surface completely for the new tile application.
Always have an exit plan when laying out the floor.
It is recommended to sand the floor using 80 grit sandpaper.
