Soak a cotton swab in nail polish remover and gently dab at the super glue. The users need to purchase the acetone and a soft knife. The simplest solution is to put dry ice on the carpet glue. Try to avoid the surrounding laminate planks.

Use a super fine sandpaper such as 320 or 400 to gently rub away the glue. Carpet glue is unique and older carpet adhesives can be particularly tricky to remove from laminate floors. Once the glue is good and damp from the acetone try and wipe it away with the cloth. Wipe the glue spots with the acetone to get them good and wet but avoid getting the chemical on the floor as much as possible.

If you happen to scratch the laminate with the sandpaper use a stain to cover the minor markings. You should get it to a point where the blade can slip between the glue and the counter creating leverage more so than cutting into the dried adhesive. In time you will begin to notice that the edges of the super glue are getting soft. The soft plastic knife is suitable for the laminate floor as it does not cause any scratches on the floor surface.

The formica didn t stick and i dropped super glue on my laminate kitchen floor without knowing it. Get acetone and a knife. If soapy water fails soak a paper towel in acetone based nail polish remover and lay it on the glue just as you did with the water. It should come off easily.

Be gentle and take your time. Try nail polish remover. With acetone however you ll need to be more attentive. A fine grit sandpaper used correctly shouldn t cause much damage to the finish.

I now have three spots of very hard glue on my floors and have tried every recommendation i can find on the internet to remove it with no luck. Then take your flat edged blade and work the loosened glue away from the laminate. Use your putty knife to gently scrape away the glue stain. Take the acetone or nail polish remover that you have and soak it into a clean cloth.

Some of the formica on my kitchen counter was coming loose so i glued it with some super glue. If you re using a steel butter knife remember to wrap it in your clean thick rag before you use it on your floor. However make sure you ve tested the nail polish remover on your laminate flooring in an unobtrusive spot just in case the polish remover is going to damage your floor. Soapy water is the gentlest option but it may not be tough enough to remove the super glue on laminate countertops.
