After header installation and before engine run remove grease and or skin oils from the header tube surface.
Once they get oilstained you are done.

I tried stronger cleaners such as windex and even carb cleaner.
Ceramic coated polished ceramic coated headers stainless.
But the brillo pads worked great.
How do you remove oil stains from coated headers.
Pay particular attention to the areas where the tubes are welded to the header flanges and where the tubes come in close proximity to each other.
This burned oil can transfer onto food items cooked inside the pan ruining your meal.

I however should have cleaned it off right away cause it got through the coating and now shows many chips underneath.
I have jethot coated headers.
Wipe the tubes.
Conventional dish soaps that are unable to cut through grease will fail to eliminate such stains.
Never tried it on normal oil though.
My expensive hooker super comps are ceramic coated and a dripping oil pan has stained them.
Vegetable oil olive oil grease and food oils can burn and stick onto a ceramic pan if the pan is left over heat too long.
I tried one spot and it was a pita.
I used some of those brillo pads that are basically steel wool with soap embeded in it.
All the pitstops caused fuel with oil of course to get onto the pipe and burn onto it.

We used to do this with our r c cars pipes after a long main event.
These areas are prone to rusting as most coatings are unable to get between the tubes in these areas during the coating.
Worked great on my coated headers with years of dried oil on them.
Try soaking the header in anti freeze.
They don t recommend any cleaner except warm soap and water and this will not remove the stains.
Stains fingerprints will show when header gets hot.
