Dispose of bolts and bad seals.

Use a putty knife or slotted screwdriver to pry off the caps that are covering the bolts.

Purchase a flange seal which has been created for your rv s toilet.
Flush toilet and sponge out water from tank.
A toilet is sealed to the top of its drain pipe with a ring of wax that sits between the drain flange and the toilet base.
Rock the toilet gently to break its seal then lift the toilet off the flange and set it on its side.
Remove the 2 or 3 bolts holding toilet tank to base.
Then use a wrench to alternately tighten each bolt a little at a time.
If it comes loose the wax ring will not provide the proper seal and your toilet will start leaking at the base.
